The Brief:
Owners Tim and Sally had been considering renovating their home for 5 years to accommodate their growing family. With a small block size of 450sqm, building up was the only option. Frampton Builders was tasked with the challenge of expanding their home while maintaining its unique character.
The Challenges:
During the project, several challenges arose. Firstly, the team had to keep the downstairs area dry as the roof was removed, despite Brisbane experiencing above-average rainfall. Additionally, the project coincided with a pandemic, resulting in soaring material prices and supply chain disruptions. The shortage of roofers due to storm damage in the western suburbs further complicated matters.
